Burrito bowls…

Hey all!! I have been super busy lately, on vacation right now and finally got some time to just hang out and chill. Today I’ll be sharing with you all how to make a delicious burrito/burrito bowl! Ever since I moved back home I haven’t had chipotle and I definitely crave it from time to time. Instead of going to chipotle, I just make myself a burrito bowl whenever I crave it and it is definitely a much healthier option.

What the bowl consists of:

Organic boneless thin sliced chicken breast

Bell-peppers (green,red,yellow)



Brown rice

Black Beans

Verde Salsa


How to marinate the chicken:

Plain yogurt (keeps the chicken soft)

Tandoori Masala (indian seasoning)

Salt (very little)

How I make the guacamole:

1 Avocado

Onion finely chopped

Green chili finely chopped


Lime (how much ever you like) (a little less than half for 1 avo)



1 table spoon- Asian garlic red chili sauce (my secret ingredient, now you all know)

How to make the black beans:

I know you can just open the can and they are read to use, but I like to give them a little flavor.

Saute Garlic in a pan, add 2 table spoons of tomato sauce, add water, salt, pepper, and then add the rinsed out black beans. Let them heat for about 15 mins with the lid on.

Now you are finally ready to throw in all the ingredients together to make the perfect burrito/burrito bowl.

-Cook the chicken, cut it into small pieces.

-Get a big bowl, add the rice, beans, chicken, sautéed veggies, guac, salsa, chopped lettuce to top it all off.


For the burrito:

Warm up your burrito in the microwave for 20 seconds.

add all the ingredients, wrap it up!

Now you want to grill it, the best part. I don’t know about you all, I like my burrito crispy. I usually just grill it on a pan, but you can do whatever is more convenient. Then, I usually wrap it in a foil so it doesn’t fall apart on me.
