Hello all! Happy Saturday, thank god for a long weekend. I do not know about you guys but down here in Ukiah it is literally raining cats and dogs. Stay safe and warm this weekend. : ) Todays post is about juicing. I juice at least three times a week and I love it. I want to share with you guys what fruits and vegetables I use, as well as how easy it is to juice.
First things first, you have to have the right juicer. I use the brand Juicepresso® pictured above. I love this juicer. It is expensive but its definitely worth it if you are like me and will juice regularly.
It can definitely be hard to get everything ready the day of, so what I usually do is prep for the whole week on Sundays. Also, the best way to juice the greens is to juice them with vegetables and fruits that have more juice (ex: carrots, beets, and oranges). One great benefit of this juicer in particular is that it actually does not get rid of the fiber that most juicers will. Juicing is a great way to get in your fruits and vegetables especially when the juicer does not take out the pulp, because that is where all the fiber is. Also, If you don’t invest in this particular juicer, that is totally fine, you can definitely find a great juicer at different price points.
So what ingredients am I using…
I throw in some carrots, spinach, kale and chard mix, celery, beets, pineapple, ginger, oranges, and pomegranate.
